Call for Awards Nominations

Spring is right around the corner and some of you are looking forward to spring break and free time to “re-charge your battery!”  For others, the spring-like weather lends itself to looking forward to even warmer weather and thinking about what is yet to come.  However, the Honors and Awards Committee would like you to use your “HINDSIGHT” and think about those individuals or organizations who have promoted or advanced the mission of SCAHPERD.  Who has been a mentor or ally to you personally or our diverse professions? Is there a community or statewide program that has made an impact on our youth or residents of South Carolina? Are there creative endeavors that should be showcased and publicized across the state so they can reach a broader audience? 

As Chair of the Honors and Awards Committee, I am inviting you to nominate a deserving person or organization for one of the following SCAHPERD awards:

1. The SCAHPERD ADVOCACY AWARD recognizes a person who has significantly promoted and/or advanced the mission of SCAHPERD in South Carolina; 

2. The SCAHPERD DISTINGUISHED ORGANIZATION AWARD recognizes organizations that have promoted and/or advanced the mission of SCAHPERD in South Carolina;and

3. The SCAHPERD HONOR AWARD is the highest award given by SCAHPERD. Recipients represent the role models for students, clients and professionals of SCAHPERD.

Isn’t it time for you to recognize a deserving colleague and/or organization that has had an impact on your career or supports the mission of SCAHPERD?  “HINDSIGHT” is a gift we all receive over time and maybe it’s your time to give something back through your nomination!
