I am looking forward to a phenomenal year as your SCDA President. Since COVID, our association has been working to rejuvenate our membership, our committees, and our professional development opportunities for you all. We’ve had a great year so far, and so many exciting things are coming ahead!

K-12 Educators and Students

Join us for the 2023 SCAHPERD Conference at Embassy Suites Resort in Myrtle Beach on November 17-19. Bring your dancers and your dance teaching friends–we’ll have a great time and a variety of sessions! Consider sharing your expertise and talent by presenting a session; click this link to submit your proposal today!

SC Dance Teams

In February of 2023, the dance team ad hoc committee of SCDA hosted the 3rd annual SCDA State Dance Team Championship, naming 10 teams as State Champions and 2 students as State Champion Soloists. The committee is looking for more coaches to join this committee. Please contact admin@scdanceassociation.org for more information.

Looking ahead to July 2023, any past, present, or future dance team coaches are invited to Save the Date for our 2nd annual SCDA Dance Coaches Summit held at Fort Mill High School. This event will be held on Friday, July 14th.  All participating coaches will receive free observation wristbands to attend the SCDA College Combine on Saturday, July 15th. All rising 9th-12th grade dancers are invited to attend. Registration for each event will be shared with the membership soon!
