This is Me…

Hi everyone! My name is Jaci Foister Williams and I am honored to serve as your 2023 SCAPES President.  I graduated with my BS in Physical Education Teacher Education from the College of Charleston and am currently pursuing my MPH from the University of South Carolina.  I spent six years in the classroom and currently work for Wholespire, Inc, a nonprofit working to improve health equity throughout South Carolina.  My philosophy is that ‘Supporting the teacher is the best way to support the student.’ To best support our physical and health educators, SCAPES is on a mission to provide relevant professional development opportunities that provide inspiration and easy implementation. We plan to provide active communication channels for teachers to stay informed on happenings around the state and national updates. Our hope is to increase the feeling of community amongst our members from every part of the state. The 2023 SCAPES Board is working excitedly to create and implement plans to achieve these goals.
